Board Member. MBA Candidate, Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania
Margot Prendergast is an MBA candidate at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Health Care Management. She is serving as an apprentice board member through the McNulty Leadership Program‘s Nonprofit Board Fellowship. Prior to Wharton, Margot was a 2014-2015 Global Health Corps (GHC) fellow working with Partners In Health (PIH) at a hospital system in rural Malawi. The GHC mission is to mobilize a global community of emerging leaders to build the movement for health equity. Before joining PIH, Margot spent four years with Partners HealthCare, a not-for-profit health care system that includes a number of specialty and community hospitals in the greater Boston area.
Margot graduated from the Boston College Carroll School of Management with a concentration in finance and minor in Hispanic studies. She is inspired by Dr. Paul Farmer‘s philosophy of health care as a human right.
