Since 2007, Jaymie Campbell has been working in health promotion, social services, HIV research, and sexuality education. After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Feminist Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, Jaymie began his non-profit career working with marginalized populations in the Tenderloin District of San Francisco. He achieved a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology, emphasis in Community Mental Health, from the California Institute of Integral Studies; he focused his clinical internship on working with homeless queer and trans* youth of color.
Jaymie is most passionate about the framework of racial microaggressions and its intersections with gender identity and sexual orientation. Currently, he is the Professional Development Manager at Mazzoni Center where he oversees planning for the Philadelphia Trans Health Conference as well as implementation of LGBQ/T* and racial cultural competency trainings for medical providers, behavioral health providers, educators, and other community based organizations. He has obtained a Master of Education and is pursuing the PhD in Human Sexuality Studies from Widener University. When he is not studying or teaching, Jaymie recharges by riding his bike on the Schuylkill Trail.
